Clean house

As we prepare to get the house ready for showing - I am amazed at how great it felt to have the entire house clean at the same time. (Thanks be to my Fallon and Anita.)

Some of the pictures made it out to www.flickr.com/djnkpete

At the same time, I realize that since it is soooo clean, the temptation to mess it up must be a terrible. Newly painted walls, freshly moopped floors, sparkling bathroom mirrors...

Less than 24 hours later:
- Dog pooped by the back door (she's only had one other accident like that on the 2nd or 3rd day that we had her)
- One of the sisters squeezed a plastic cup full of orange juice during "kitchen clean-up"...covering the length of the kitchen, including the new kitchen rugs !
- Claire is driving hot wheels on the walls and dragging the broom along same said walls
- muddy paw prints from the back door, through the kitchen, to the clean laundry room
- and we've changed clothes twice - jammies and then clothes today - guess how much of that made it into ANY laundry basket
- sliding glass door is full of finger prints, smudged hands and is that noses?

If it weren't "supposed" to be clean, I might not feel so aggravated.

Glad we are leaving on Friday. The buyer better show up while we are gone!

Now I've got to go rouse my peeps to head for the goal set before us(new house)
...and maybe bribe them.

Petersen Idol

I have a house full of singers...

Here is a song that I don't particularly care for... but somehow the sisters know it. (I even added it to my playlist for them.)

Can you tell which sister is which?

Amanda sang an original song about witches.

In case you are wondering what Claire is doing while we were singing.

Claire's Independence

Now that ClaireBelles is walking, her new found independence is exciting! In the beginning we would could how many steps she was taking at a time... 3, 6, 10. But then we quit counting. Now she can walk the length of the house without falling down. And normally carrying a toy or two (or small can of tomato paste she swiped from the cupboard).

She also likes to climb, just has to make sure that belly button is still there first.

And Claire can drive. For her 1st birthday, she got a pink car from Grandma and Poopa :)

Happy Independence Day, ClaireBelles!
