Mammatus Clouds

It looked like we were going to get a storm tonight...the radar showed hail storms and tornado vortexes headed our way...but we live in Denton and it always seems to come up from Ft. Worth and go around us and hit Aubrey.

I did take some pictures of the mammatus clouds (aka boob clouds - what a brilliant nickname.) But they won't upload. So here's one off the web.

We did have a good bit of rain, but not a huge thunderstorm, which was kind of a let down after watching an hour of awesome clouds. But hey, no tornado is always a good sign.

Enjoy the weather where ever you are.

What a cool picture! I'm glad there were no tornadoes, or I would've had to go look for you down the yellow brick road :)
We had some hail mixed with snow yesterday and it was cute the way it confused Toby. He would stand up by the sliding glass door and yell "Ice!!!" then wait a few seconds "Nous!" (his way of saying snow) and back again to "Ice!" Ha-ha!
